The Pool is Closed
It is so disappointing to have to tell your kids that the outdoor pools are closed due to the possibility of thunder and lighting storms. Even if they don't materialize. The sadness of a two-year-old, already in her bathing suit, clutching her brand-new blow-up hippo ring, is palpable. Not something we dealt with in California.

With all of the smoke you probably would not want to be outside here either. It smells, the sky is gray all of the time and breathing is not a lot of fun. Hopefully, the weather will clear for you soon and there will be no thunderstorms when we are there. :)
I've heard about all the smoke. Yuck! I am grateful for cleaner air, even if we are now in the ozone alert days (like "spare the air" days). I'm hoping for the summer thunderstorms soon. Real raindrops, not just threats! I so miss the rain!
