Milk Home Delivery
Guess what I just did? I started milk delivery, from a local dairy. Isn't that wild? Starting Monday we'll have 3 bottles of whole milk delivered to our front doorstep in glass bottles. Fresh, natural, hormone-free milk for the kiddos. I can't wait!

Ooooh! Sounds teriffic! Sounds kind of "small town" or "country" to me - a child of the suburbs who's never even seen a milkman except on TV.
We had milk delivery when I was growing up, but it was never available where we lived when you were little. It is a very nice service, especially if someone is ill or the weather is ugly and you don't want to go out. However, our milk came in a 2 1/2 gal. box that had a spicket on it.
I had home milk delivery when I was a kid in Los Altos. Six half-gallon cartons of Berkeley Farms every Monday. With all the yummy hormones included at no extra charge!
Domestic Operations Officer of team P4. California-to-Colorado transplant, still adjusting to the quirks of this new place even after all these years. Currently a stay-at-home mom of two children, trying to keep everyone sane and happy. Somedays I succeed, other days you can feel the tension. Sometimes I pour my heart out here, and sometimes I don't. It all depends on the day. Happily married, usually a happy mom, and almost always in need of a nap.

I grew up in small towns and have no recollection of milk delivery. I've seen it in London, though.
